Writer’s Block Anyone?

Formulating a topic for today’s article isn’t easy and it isn’t a come by night thing. Many writers will tell you it’s not easy to just sit down at your PC and start typing award winning articles. In fact as a beginning blogger topics can seem redundant.

Yes it is true that even some of the greatest article writers have the case of writer’s block. However, many of the greatestWriter writers have taken out time in the beginning to discipline themselves to write everyday about anything. As an aspiring blogger, I can voucher for the fact that beginning stages can be difficult when it comes to forking up the topics that will feed your audience and make a difference in their lives. It has been said that if you do at least some writing everyday you will improve the right side of your brain, also known as the creative part. It doesn’t have to be a full blown out article and it doesn’t have to be perfect. I’ve learn that if you try to produce a perfect article on the first draft you will only frustrate yourself and it doesn’t help your creativity.

 Just Write

When you sit down and write, do just that… WRITE! It doesn’t have to be formatted correctly or it doesn’t have to have to perfect structure. You might even have grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, don’t focus on those, yet just write about a main idea and focus on that idea. I am a musician and I remember the days when I first started playing drums, it wasn’t something that I learned over night. Making music, or any other craft for that matter, is a skill that has to be practiced. It takes time to improve on your craft.

 It’s A Craft Too…

That said, blogging is something that requires practice. Writing is a craft such as being a musician, painting masterpieces or anything that takes skill. It takes practice and diligence to become a pro blogger. Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart (January 27th, 1756 - December 5th, 1791)Mozart was a great genius and composer but nonetheless, for the genius that he was, he didn’t become the skilled musician that he was overnight, it took practice, discipline and diligence to achieve that level of success.

I want to encourage you and to take out sometime to write just a little everyday. Don’t feel like you have to finished the article, you can write a half article if that’s all you can fork up, just write something. Don’t attempt to publish your first draft. Come back the next day and try to improve on that first draft. As the day progresses, write down blogging topics that come to your mind. It doesn’t have to be all business oriented it could be personal topics, topics centered around politics anything. When as you get better at blogging about anything, your creativity will open up with content and topics in ways you never deemed possible.

To your success,

Jarrod Clark

5 Steps for better business development

In the hustle and bustle of the everyday business ventures, sometimes it’s easy to loose focus and get disorganized. You may find yourself getting wrapped up in one particular task and loose focus of time. Proper time management is one of the key essentials to business success.

Setting a set time or a time limit for your everyday tasks is effective time management practice. Proper time management cuts down on the stress of everyday business tasks. The following are steps to help cut down on the stress of business operation.

Give yourself a specific time to do your daily tasks.

One of the pros of being an entrepreneur is having the free time to be able to do what you want when you want to do it. However, one of the important things of being an entrepreneur and working for yourself is being able to manage yourself. When you were, or if you are still working a day job, you would wake up in the morning in an effort to get to work on time.

Why?

Because being on time indicates that you value your job. The same thing applies when you’re working for yourself and managing your own business. You have to be able to manage your time effectively. As you wake up to start you business day, make a list of the tasks that you have ahead of you for the day and the times to start those tasks and the ending times for those tasks.

Organization is key.

There is nothing worse than coming to a disorganized work space and trying to progress to the next level. The way you start your business sets the tone for the way the business will fair out. If you start out disorganized then chances are it will be a complete mess and turn out to be a very stressful venture. Organize your work space in a way to where everything you need is easily accessible. Disorganization can be an indication of lack of self discipline so make a point organize your workspace and your time better.

Do not procrastinate.

don Procrastination ties in heavily with step 1. Sometimes meeting deadlines can be a stressful thing. Much of the stress that comes with meeting a deadline is procrastination. I must say once more, one of the many perks of owning your own business is the time freedom you get. I’m reminded of many times when I was younger, if I was given a particular homework assignment. Many times, if it was a big assignment, we were given ample time to complete that assignment. After weeks have gone by I would always say to myself, “I’ll get on it tomorrow or next week…” then tomorrow became the next day and next week became the week after next and… next thing I knew… the assignment was due in a couple days! I would try to make all the last minute stops to do the homework assignment.

Many times it wasn’t that the assignment was hard it was just that I tried to cram a few days worth of work down to a 1 or 2 day time frame and it was very stressful. As I got older I’ve overcome my procrastination and I’ve come to realize that spreading out my tasks evenly over the time that I’m given to complete them is so much easier. Make an effort to apply a small amount of time to your tasks daily and you will see a world of difference in the stress level of your business.

Rest, Rest, Rest!

It is often said that the body requires 8-9 hours of sleep a night to be up to full operation. It’s very easy to get caught up in taking advantage of as many hours a day as possible. Over a period of time getting a lack of sleep can take a toll on the human body. You may find yourself feeling groggy and restless during the day and you will not be able to function at your fullest potential. Make a choice every night to get to bed at a good time so that you will wake up refreshed and ready to start a new business day full of excitement.

Make good habits.

I heard a saying that everything that you do on a daily basis is centered around the habits that you make. Evaluate your habits and make a choice to become better at everything that you do, whether it’s your personal life or business life take the time out to do everything to make your life less stressful, more ethical and more fulfilling.

traces in time and space

Take time out for yourself and evaluate what you do on a daily basis. Continue to keep a positive mind set and have a “CAN DO” mentality. By applying these steps you will not only see a difference in the way you function but you will see much improvement in your business. Remember to keep the big picture in mind and always strive to do your best.

To your success,

Running Out of Your Warm market?

If you are involved in network marketing, and you are just getting started, you have probably become discouraged after targeting your warm market.

However, there are some individuals who haven’t been as successful targeting their warm market. They get rebuttal after rebuttal and they have yet to be able to achieve much success in the area of your warm market. If this sounds like you and you are running out of your warm market, do not be discouraged.

There are many plentiful sources and ways to market your network marketing business online. One of the best ways to market your business is by focusing on your target audience. Your opportunity may have a typical product or a distinguished product, it doesn’t matter, what matters is how you market it.

By taping into search engine optimization, and focusing on people who are your target audience, you will acquire prospects who are calling you and not the other way around. Below you will find an intuitive outline of helpful tools of marketing online:

  • Posting blogs online. - Blogging is a derivative of the word "web log" which essentially means logging your thoughts on the web. Blogging is effective because it’s a great way for search engines to pick up your message. Search engines will then give your blog a ranking. Based on your keywords, the search engines will place your blog in order of it’s ranking throughout the search engine’s listings. This will, in turn, draw targeted traffic to your blog based on your blog tags or keywords. Do a google search on blog resources and you will find a number of blogging resources. One resource that has been helpful for me is www.blogger.com

  • Posting your articles online. - You can find a number of sites where you can post your articles for free. Posting articles are a great resource. Posting articles is also a great way to expand your readers and get your message out to an even greater audience. If you have a website and you want to draw traffic to it, posting articles is a great way to draw traffic to your site. Also it’s a good idea to post articles for search engine rankings. Search Engines see this as a one way link to your website and you will be rewarded for it.

  • Marketing on Myspace.com - Contrary to what some people think about the safety of myspace, it is a great way for you to market yourself and your business. It is a great tool for you to network with others that share the same interest as you do. Myspace has fundamentals like online groups and forums targeted toward specific categories. There you can join those groups and meet other individuals who are looking for what you have to offer as well as share ideas with other people who are successful in the area of network marketing. Myspace is also a great place for you to blog as mentioned earlier.

  • Marketing using video blog web technology. - Video blogging is the same concept as blogging except you are video taping yourself verbally speaking your message. It’s very helpful, if not the most helpful tool, because it gives your audience the face to face advantage that they would get if they were in the same room talking to you. It is also my understanding that people join people not companies. There are sites where you can market yourself and your business that are key in helping you to be successful. One site that is well known is www.youtube.com is a great place for you to video blog.

There are many other ways for you to market your business opportunity and gather prospects that are looking for what you have to offer. I would like to add that I am not bashing the outside marketing ideas. It is a great way in addition to online marketing to achieve the level of marketing that you would like to achieve. I’m simply elaborating on the fact that there are some people who have a struggle with putting out flyers and walking up to people in the mall and pitching your presentation.

If this sounds like you then I would like to encourage you and enlighten you. There are more ways of marketing your opportunity than just approaching your warm market and approaching people on the streets. Explore and study ways of marketing online through google and other search engines. There you will find results and ideas that suit you in discovering your niche in online marketing.

To Your Success,

Find Your Passion…It Will Change Your Life

I often write about achieving your dreams. In fact, in my previous blog "Is Your Dream Alive?" I talk about examining your priorities and not letting your dreams go to waste. Part of achieving your goal is having a passion for what it takes to achieve your goal. You have to love what you do not only because it makes you money but because of the pure thrill that you get from doing it. There are many people who earn a massive income but don’t like what they do. In my blog "Is Your Dream Alive?" I ask the question: What are you passionate about? Think about it for a moment. What do you like to do? I do believe if you focus on what you’re passionate about before you focus on the money, the money will come.

Miracle on SkyI think about when I was younger, and many of you who know a little about me know that I am a drummer. I love making music because it is a great outlet for me. Music is good for the soul. Henceforth, knowing that, it gives me a sense of fulfillment to make music because I know that I have the ability to effect people’s lives and make them feel good. I played drums in the church when I was younger and for many years I didn’t get paid to play drums. Neither was I playing drums looking to get paid, I was playing drums because I loved to play drums, PERIOD! It wasn’t until I got older that I started to get paid to play and it was offered to me I didn’t ask to get paid to play.

I wanted to tell that story because the law of attractionworld within basically says that the things that you focus your thoughts and time on are the things that will manifest themselves into your life. Many will ask themselves "well if I just focus on making money then the money will come… right?" In response to that I will say "sure, yes the money will come." However, I must say that that is such a general statement. The fact is, yes everyone focuses on making money all the time. Most of the population gets up everyday and works a 9-5. Why? Because making money is a way of life, you have to make money to make a living. By changing your focus and asking yourself, what am I passionate about that makes me happy? It is what you like to do, that makes you money, that will give you a sense of freedom. Statistics say that only 2% of the population is financially free. Many artist/painters make good money but they didn’t wake up one morning and say, "…gee I think I will go and take a class and learn how to paint masterpieces because that will make me good money." No, most artists, who are successful, were sincerely passionate about drawing and painting long before they started making money doing it. It was something that gave them a sense of fulfillment because it’s an art of expression.

I urge you to search deepdelicate down inside inside of yourself today. Find out what makes you happy. If you are a writer, and you wake up in the morning and you can’t think about anything else other than writing, then you should become a writer. Explore that passion and find out how you can make writing your "Niche." Perhaps you can become an author and write many books that will inspire the world. I must say I am a Christian and I don’t promote books of witchcraft, however I think of the author Joanne K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter Series, one of the number 1 book series in the world, and I think about how she has effected the lives of so many people in the world with her style of writing. She has a passion and her passion has manifested itself in a way that no other can, she has a unique style of writing. Find your passion and not only will it change your life but you can effect the lives of others around you and you will benefit from it in return.

To your success,

Are Your Emotions Getting The Best of You?

Many times we go through situations in life that stir up different emotions. One scenario could be a neighbor, who walks their dog and allows their dog to do his business in your yard. This can make you frustrated for a moment but it’s not very severe and some people may even get over it within a matter of minutes or hours.

I was really having a day...Another, more severe scenario, could be that you were in an accident that wasn’t your fault and because of what may seem to be “simple carelessness” of another person, you may feel very upset. Usually with this type of situation, even though you might feel upset or frustrated, you are likely to eventually loose those ill emotions that you originally felt.

Because of the different personalities, people deal with these emotions differently. Some people will simply vent their frustrations by complaining to others about the details of the situation and how it makes them feel, others may take a more physical approach by going to the gym and taking it out on a punching bag and some people may simply hold it in and let those frustrations build up.

Some experts might say that it’s not a good idea to hold those emotions in. They will often encourage you to talk to others about how you feel, or even take the physical approach by going on a jog or working out.

As a Christian, I choose to take a slightly different approach when dealing with works of the flesh such as wrath, frustration, or any emotions that are against the Fruit of the Spirit(Galatians 5:22). God didn’t promise us that we won’t feel angry and it’s okay to feel angry at times but the bible says those who practice the works of the flesh shall not inherit the kingdom of God.(Galatians 5:19-21)

Earlier I mentioned some advice that the experts would recommend when dealing with negative emotions, but I believe sometimes we should just simply have a talk with Jesus. He hears and answers our prayers. God is always looking at our hearts and He is more impressed with a spirit of forgiveness and joy rather than a spirit of bitterness.  The bible says in (James 1:19-20) So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

I’ve heard the saying that you should never confront someone when you’re angry, you should always wait until you are calm and able to think rationally. Sometimes I like to relate a person who is angry to a person who is intoxicated. An intoxicated person is often not able to think rationally and they often make decisions while intoxicated that they may regret when they are sober.

A person who is angry is the same way except, instead of being under the influence of alcohol they’re under the influence of a their emotions and how it makes them feel. When a person is angry they are not able to rationalize as easily as they normally would. However, after they calm down they usually think thoughts such as “why was I so worked up over that” or “certainly that person didn’t mean to wrong me.”

It’s hard to deal with trials that are heavy. Especially in the world today where the economy is down and the housing and banGOD Prayer List 3 18 2003king industry is in trouble. However, this is not your fight to fight alone. Remember in Matthew 11:28-29 Jesus was speaking to his troubled disciples said “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Next time you are faced with a trial that leaves you tempted to get angry, you shouldn’t act on that emotion by lashing out or having outbursts of wrath. You can lay your troubles down at the feet of Jesus. Many times when we’re angry we want to point the finger at someone or something else but our prayer should be that those emotions are removed from us and that God puts forgiveness in our hearts towards the person that wronged us.

Showing Gratitude Will Make A Change

giving thanks...Showing gratitude is one of the ways of killing negative thoughts that plague our minds. Waking up in the morning and being thankful for the things that you do have whether than focusing on what you don’t have or focusing on the things that are going wrong in your life, is a sure way to bring more prosperity into your life.

When you are in a down mood or you are depressed about anything, focusing on those things that make you feel good that you are thankful for and blocking out all other thoughts will change your mood into a happier mood.

Studies show that people who are more thankful for the things that they have acquired tend to be happier and less stressed than people who complain about the things that they don’t have. In fact when you complain about the things that you don’t have or you complain about the negative things that are going on in your life, you bring on more negative things into your life because that is what you are focusing your time, energy and your thoughts on.

It’s all apart of the law of attraction which basically says what ever we put out is what will come back to us. What you focus your time and energy on will manifest itself into your life. When you focus on the fact that you can’t get that big break at work and you’ve been putting all these years to get that break, then you will never get that break.

Instead try saying to yourself I am grateful for the opportunity and the doors that are open to me and commit to saying that over and over to yourself and visioning yourself in that new position.

It’s okay to ask for things that you don’t have but you shouldn’t complain about what you don’t have. Instead be thankful for what you have coming to you. If you want to be a millionare, vision yourself getting a bank statement in the mail that has a million dollars on it. If you want to travel the world, imagine yourself where you want to be and while you’re envisioning this say to yourself, thank you… thank you… thank you.

Your Health Is Your Choice

Did you know that you have the power to choose your health. There’s an old saying that says "whether you think you can, or you think you can’t either way you’re right." Well the same principle applies to the words that we say out of our mouth. Therefore, if I say that I think i’m feeling sick today, I bring sickness upon my body. If I use a powerful affirmation such as "I am well today and always" and I focus on that, then I am eliminating sickness out of my body.

The reason you may feel sick is because at sometime, whether consciously or subconsciously, you may have focused to much on the fact that you might be sick and wound up bringing it on yourself. If you say you’re sick or if you declare that you’re well… either way it goes you’re right.

There are many families who have a history of certain illnesses or diseases. I believe that through prayer and declaring that you are healthy, regardless of your family history, you have the power to beat illnesses.

I heard a story of a young lady who was diagnosed with breast cancer and she heard all of the negative reports of the doctors. However, in her mind she believed that she was cured of her affliction. Regardless of what the nay sayers were saying, she was determined to live her life happy and full of life and she didn’t worry about the outcome of her affliction. It turned out that over sometime after being diagnosed, she went in for a check up and doctors found no sign of the cancer. To their surprise it was gone.

The lady reported that after hearing the news of her being diagnosed with breast cancer she imagined her life as if she didn’t have cancer. She went out and enjoyed herself as if she had nothing to worry about. She believed with all of her heart that she was cured and she released it out of her mind.

I’m here to say to you that if you have a history of diabetes, heart failure, cancer, or any type of illness, you must be careful not to focus your thoughts on those illnesses because they will manifest themselves in your life.

The Effect of Music On Your Well Being

Music has a direct effect on the brain. It has the ability to change our mood and the way we feel. If you are in a negative mood, music can change your mood into a more positive uplifting mood. It has the ability to soothe us, calm us down, make us happy or even make us wild. Studies show that about 30 minutes of certain types of music per day can have the same effect as a dose of Valium.

Notice that everywhere you go, music is used to set the mood. Some surgeons use music in the operating room when opperating on patients. When you go into doctor’s offices and shopping stores you hear music. Snake charmers use music when charming snakes. Statistics say that playing classical music over the wound before a baby born on a continual basis has the ability to raise the IQ of the baby when they get older.

Some music has the ability to cause sickness and illness. It even has the ability to raise and lower blood pressure. I was reading an article sometime ago about some lab technicians who were doing an experiment on a plant in a laboratory. They took a plant and placed it in a room and played loud, hard rock music and over a period of time the plant withered and died. Then they took another identical plant and played classical music and the plant grew faster.

Making a point to play music on a daily basis can improve your mental health. Wether you’re working out and playing music on your ipod or driving in your car listening to the radio you have the ability to control your state of mind wether it be positive or negative. Next time you decide to put in your favorite take notice on how you feel over a period of time. You may notice that you feel like dancing immediately after hitting the play button or you make get a calming feeling and get the sudden urge to take a nap.

Knowing what music does to your mind, you now have the ability to control your mood and your health to another agree along with positive thinking and making an overall effort to be in a positive state of mind.

A Smile Makes a Positive Difference

A smile can bring so much positive energy to the world. A warm genuine is very contagious. There’s a saying that says that "when you frown you frown alone, but when you smile the world smiles with you.

When you smile your body naturally releases chemicals such as serotonin and endorphins. These chemicals are natural pain killers and they are also known as the feel good chemical that makes us happy. You may notice that it is hard to be smile and be negative at the same time. In fact when you smile you can turn negative emotions into positive emotions because your smile is communicating to your body that everything is okay.

Smiling makes us appear more confident and more attractive. When you smile the world sees you as friendly and they want to get to know you and find out "What’s the good news?" A frown does the opposite. It propels people away and you are seen as less confident.

The reason why most people don’t smile is that they aren’t confident in their smile. It could be that they feel their teeth are not worthy of smiling due to stained teeth, crooked teeth or they may even have braces. If these are some of the objectives then you may want to consider getting your teeth whitened. There are also a number of tooth whiteners out on the market that have shown proof in whitening teeth. Another reason why most people don’t smile is because they feel that smiling is not seen as professional and it makes us appear vulnerable. However, you should smile regardless

Smiling is probably one of the most natural happy drugs because you can instantly change your mood by making a decision to smile. One thing that might help is to think of a happy moment in your life. It can be a moment when you were a child or anything. As you dwell in that moment smile and you will notice a difference in how you feel. Anytime you feel stressed or depressed or you are having hard time staying positive. Make a choice to smile it will change your day and it will also effect those who are around you.

The Power of Positive Self Talk

The way you talk to yourself has a big impact on your outcome in life. It has a direct effect on your mood, self-confidence, the way that you feel about yourself and the way that you feel about others around you. Negative self talk can be like a bad apple in a group of good apples, it spoils the bunch.

Negative talk, over a period of time, can make one feel sluggish, tired, sad and even depressed. Positive talk can do just the opposite. It can boost your mood give you energy and make you feel happier.

A good habit to start is to focus on speaking positive affirmations over the course of the day. It doesn’t help to just think them at first, It helps tremendously to say them aloud. The Bible says, in the book of Luke 6:45: "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

Although there is power in verbally saying positive affirmations, it is good to monitor your thoughts and make a choice to think positive thoughts as well. It is a good idea to carry around a small pad and everytime you have a negative thought, write that negative thought down on your pad and replace it by writing down a positive thought beside it. Doing this for 2-3 weeks will make a new habit and you will notice a difference in how you think and feel. You will feel happier, more up-beat and confident.

It’s like the saying you can do anything once you put your mind to it. If you’re always tearing yourself down and saying "well i’ll never be able to achieve this or i’m not good enough for that or I don’t deserve this," then you will never achieve anything. It’s like a person who wants to loose weight, they have to first make the choice in their mind and follow it up with positive affirmations. Realize that achieving any goal comes with it’s share of obstacles but once you set your mind to it you can achieve anything. Make a choice today to focus on the positive not the negative.
