Showing Gratitude Will Make A Change
Showing gratitude is one of the ways of killing negative thoughts that plague our minds. Waking up in the morning and being thankful for the things that you do have whether than focusing on what you don’t have or focusing on the things that are going wrong in your life, is a sure way to bring more prosperity into your life.
When you are in a down mood or you are depressed about anything, focusing on those things that make you feel good that you are thankful for and blocking out all other thoughts will change your mood into a happier mood.
Studies show that people who are more thankful for the things that they have acquired tend to be happier and less stressed than people who complain about the things that they don’t have. In fact when you complain about the things that you don’t have or you complain about the negative things that are going on in your life, you bring on more negative things into your life because that is what you are focusing your time, energy and your thoughts on.
It’s all apart of the law of attraction which basically says what ever we put out is what will come back to us. What you focus your time and energy on will manifest itself into your life. When you focus on the fact that you can’t get that big break at work and you’ve been putting all these years to get that break, then you will never get that break.
Instead try saying to yourself I am grateful for the opportunity and the doors that are open to me and commit to saying that over and over to yourself and visioning yourself in that new position.
It’s okay to ask for things that you don’t have but you shouldn’t complain about what you don’t have. Instead be thankful for what you have coming to you. If you want to be a millionare, vision yourself getting a bank statement in the mail that has a million dollars on it. If you want to travel the world, imagine yourself where you want to be and while you’re envisioning this say to yourself, thank you… thank you… thank you.

Your Health Is Your Choice
Did you know that you have the power to choose your health. There’s an old saying that says "whether you think you can, or you think you can’t either way you’re right." Well the same principle applies to the words that we say out of our mouth. Therefore, if I say that I think i’m feeling sick today, I bring sickness upon my body. If I use a powerful affirmation such as "I am well today and always" and I focus on that, then I am eliminating sickness out of my body.
The reason you may feel sick is because at sometime, whether consciously or subconsciously, you may have focused to much on the fact that you might be sick and wound up bringing it on yourself. If you say you’re sick or if you declare that you’re well… either way it goes you’re right.
There are many families who have a history of certain illnesses or diseases. I believe that through prayer and declaring that you are healthy, regardless of your family history, you have the power to beat illnesses.
I heard a story of a young lady who was diagnosed with breast cancer and she heard all of the negative reports of the doctors. However, in her mind she believed that she was cured of her affliction. Regardless of what the nay sayers were saying, she was determined to live her life happy and full of life and she didn’t worry about the outcome of her affliction. It turned out that over sometime after being diagnosed, she went in for a check up and doctors found no sign of the cancer. To their surprise it was gone.
The lady reported that after hearing the news of her being diagnosed with breast cancer she imagined her life as if she didn’t have cancer. She went out and enjoyed herself as if she had nothing to worry about. She believed with all of her heart that she was cured and she released it out of her mind.
I’m here to say to you that if you have a history of diabetes, heart failure, cancer, or any type of illness, you must be careful not to focus your thoughts on those illnesses because they will manifest themselves in your life.

The Effect of Music On Your Well Being
Music has a direct effect on the brain. It has the ability to change our mood and the way we feel. If you are in a negative mood, music can change your mood into a more positive uplifting mood. It has the ability to soothe us, calm us down, make us happy or even make us wild. Studies show that about 30 minutes of certain types of music per day can have the same effect as a dose of Valium.
Notice that everywhere you go, music is used to set the mood. Some surgeons use music in the operating room when opperating on patients. When you go into doctor’s offices and shopping stores you hear music. Snake charmers use music when charming snakes. Statistics say that playing classical music over the wound before a baby born on a continual basis has the ability to raise the IQ of the baby when they get older.
Some music has the ability to cause sickness and illness. It even has the ability to raise and lower blood pressure. I was reading an article sometime ago about some lab technicians who were doing an experiment on a plant in a laboratory. They took a plant and placed it in a room and played loud, hard rock music and over a period of time the plant withered and died. Then they took another identical plant and played classical music and the plant grew faster.
Making a point to play music on a daily basis can improve your mental health. Wether you’re working out and playing music on your ipod or driving in your car listening to the radio you have the ability to control your state of mind wether it be positive or negative. Next time you decide to put in your favorite take notice on how you feel over a period of time. You may notice that you feel like dancing immediately after hitting the play button or you make get a calming feeling and get the sudden urge to take a nap.
Knowing what music does to your mind, you now have the ability to control your mood and your health to another agree along with positive thinking and making an overall effort to be in a positive state of mind.

A Smile Makes a Positive Difference
A smile can bring so much positive energy to the world. A warm genuine is very contagious. There’s a saying that says that "when you frown you frown alone, but when you smile the world smiles with you.
When you smile your body naturally releases chemicals such as serotonin and endorphins. These chemicals are natural pain killers and they are also known as the feel good chemical that makes us happy. You may notice that it is hard to be smile and be negative at the same time. In fact when you smile you can turn negative emotions into positive emotions because your smile is communicating to your body that everything is okay.
Smiling makes us appear more confident and more attractive. When you smile the world sees you as friendly and they want to get to know you and find out "What’s the good news?" A frown does the opposite. It propels people away and you are seen as less confident.
The reason why most people don’t smile is that they aren’t confident in their smile. It could be that they feel their teeth are not worthy of smiling due to stained teeth, crooked teeth or they may even have braces. If these are some of the objectives then you may want to consider getting your teeth whitened. There are also a number of tooth whiteners out on the market that have shown proof in whitening teeth. Another reason why most people don’t smile is because they feel that smiling is not seen as professional and it makes us appear vulnerable. However, you should smile regardless
Smiling is probably one of the most natural happy drugs because you can instantly change your mood by making a decision to smile. One thing that might help is to think of a happy moment in your life. It can be a moment when you were a child or anything. As you dwell in that moment smile and you will notice a difference in how you feel. Anytime you feel stressed or depressed or you are having hard time staying positive. Make a choice to smile it will change your day and it will also effect those who are around you.

The Power of Positive Self Talk
The way you talk to yourself has a big impact on your outcome in life. It has a direct effect on your mood, self-confidence, the way that you feel about yourself and the way that you feel about others around you. Negative self talk can be like a bad apple in a group of good apples, it spoils the bunch.
Negative talk, over a period of time, can make one feel sluggish, tired, sad and even depressed. Positive talk can do just the opposite. It can boost your mood give you energy and make you feel happier.
A good habit to start is to focus on speaking positive affirmations over the course of the day. It doesn’t help to just think them at first, It helps tremendously to say them aloud. The Bible says, in the book of Luke 6:45: "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."
Although there is power in verbally saying positive affirmations, it is good to monitor your thoughts and make a choice to think positive thoughts as well. It is a good idea to carry around a small pad and everytime you have a negative thought, write that negative thought down on your pad and replace it by writing down a positive thought beside it. Doing this for 2-3 weeks will make a new habit and you will notice a difference in how you think and feel. You will feel happier, more up-beat and confident.
It’s like the saying you can do anything once you put your mind to it. If you’re always tearing yourself down and saying "well i’ll never be able to achieve this or i’m not good enough for that or I don’t deserve this," then you will never achieve anything. It’s like a person who wants to loose weight, they have to first make the choice in their mind and follow it up with positive affirmations. Realize that achieving any goal comes with it’s share of obstacles but once you set your mind to it you can achieve anything. Make a choice today to focus on the positive not the negative.
